A longtime Oxford resident and retired certified financial planner, Trustee Charles was elected to the township board in November 2020. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University. Trustee Charles was the founder and chief organizer of Oxford’s Lone Ranger Parade and Festival, which ran from 2013-18. He also served on the Oxford Wildcat Booster Club board. Trustee Charles has served on the Oxford Downtown Development Authority (DDA) board since 2013. He owns a commercial building (14 S. Washington St.) in downtown Oxford.
