The Oxford township treasurer does not accept payment for Village of Oxford utility bills (sewer, water, trash collection). Those bills must be paid at the village office located at 22 W. Burdick St.
The Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner’s (WRC) Office is only responsible for the public sewer main. The customer is responsible for the sewer service line from the sewer main to the house or building.
Oxford Township sends bills to customers on a quarterly basis (January, April, July, and October). The quarterly flat rate for non-metered sewer customers is $110 per Residential Equivalent Unit (REU). One single-family home equals 1 REU. The metered sewer rate$155 per Residential Equivalent Unit and $55.22 per thousand cubic feet (7,480.5 gallons) of flow.
The village and township operate separate sewer systems, each managed independently to meet the needs of their respective areas. While the township’s sewer services are handled through a different system, the village is responsible for maintaining its own sewer infrastructure and overseeing monthly sewer billing for village residents. This means that village property owners receive their sewer bills directly from the village, separate from any other utility or township-related charges.
Visit the Village of Oxford’s Website for more information.
