Elected to a four-year term, the township supervisor is responsible for:
Moderating board of trustees meetings
Serving as chief assessing officer
Acting as the township’s legal agent
Preparing and administering the township’s annual budget under policies formulated by the township board and keeping the board fully advised at all times as to the financial condition and needs of the township
Appointing specific board or commission members
Calling special meetings
Seeing that all laws and township ordinances are enforced
Managing and supervising all public improvements, works and undertakings of the township
Recommending to the township board for adoption such measures as he or she may deem necessary or expedient
